Founder
Travis Baucom is the founder and CEO of Balcomie Capital. He directs the overall investment strategy, asset acquisitions, and business development activities for the company. He personally selects key investment markets and asset classes to meet the goals of investors, bringing more than 12 years of investing experience and asset development.
Travis started in the residential single-family rental market in August 2012 and has been directly involved in acquisition, development, repositioning, disposition, asset management, and strategic planning across more than $75 million in AUM.
Prior to Balcomie Capital, Travis was CEO of Texas Trust Home Buyers, the largest privately owned distressed house buying company in Texas. The company bought more than 400 single-family homes over a five-year period while Travis led strategy, acquisitions, and asset management.
Travis later focused on self storage, where consistent income meets forced appreciation. He also co-founded Summit School in Waco, Texas, a private school focused on entrepreneurship, emotional awareness, and STEAM curriculum. Travis is part of the Texas A&M class of '07, enjoys the outdoors with his four kids, and supports the Texas foster system.
